Before You Drink Any Milk
Probably One of the Most Dangerous Foods You Can Ingest!
A1 beta casein vs. A2 beta casein
There is alarming scientific information about the milk currently available to consumers. The health threat has little to do with cows treated with hormones and nothing to do with non-organic feeds. Recent research has focused on two kinds of milk protein found in different cows. The so-named "A1" protein is believed to be implicated in causing autism in the children of mothers who consume "A1 milk" during pregnancy, and in making autism worse in children who have the condition. The A1 genetically mutated protein is now implicated in several diseases in humans including autism, diabetes, ischaemic heart disease, and schizophrenia. If you are buying milk in stores in America, Australia, New Zealand, or several other countries, and if it is not certified A2 which will at this stage be difficult to get, you are getting this dangerous A1 milk protein. Doesn't matter if it is labeled "Organic" or not.
Many parents have attested that treating autistic children with a dairy-free, gluten-free diet has helped with the symptoms. Now it is being learned that A2 milk, unlike A1 does not exacerbate the symptoms of autism.
A2 Gets "Green Light".
The A2 protein, found primarily in certain breed-lines of cows which did not receive the A1 genetic mutation (which is believed to have occurred in about the last 8,000 years) is getting a green light by scientific researchers as safe and healthy. These same groups of scientists have found a humane non-invasive genetic cow test to learn which any individual cow is giving A1, A2, or a mixture of both proteins in its milk. French cows are mostly A2, since the French farmers believe the older "classic" breeds of cow, for example the "Guernsey", give better-tasting milk. For this reason, French farmers never extensively adopted the breeds of cows such as Holstein that are used in the "industrialized" production of milk, since they believe the A1 milk tastes not so well as the milk from the Guernsey breed. American farmers and those from many other countries were sold on the Holstein by well-meaning departments of agriculture since that cow gives huge amounts of milk per cow. Monsanto Chemical Company is making that situation worse by selling a new form of bovine growth hormone to these industrial-style dairies, in spite of evidence that it is not safe. See story below.
Finland, Norway, and Sweden show a very strong correlation between per capita milk consumption and prevalence of the complex of diseases due to A1 beta casein. (See the graphs in linked articles, left sidebar.) The relationship to those chronic diseases was once thought to be directly correlated to per capita milk consumption, before the statistical connection to A1 beta casein was discovered. However Iceland gets its milk from a very old breed of cow different from the cows in the other Scandinavian countries, and has a significantly lower incidence of these diseases vis-a-vis the amount of milk consumed. It turns out that the ancient Icelandic breed of cow gives milk with mostly A2 beta casein, rather than A1.
A1 Milk Protein Implicated in "Lactose Intolerance".
The milk from A2 cows contains lactose as does the milk from A1 Cows. Therefore many scientists have concluded that people who cannot completely or partially digest milk-sugar (lactose) would have no better luck with the bloating (gas) and/or diarrhea resulting from consuming milk untreated with commercially available lactase enzyme when drinking A2 protein milk as with A1 protein milk. This logical-seeming conclusion might be partly wrong, as the A1 beta casein protein in A1 milk might be contributing to the symptoms blamed on lactose intolerance. Many people who report symptoms of milk indigestion, say that they can tolerate milk from A2 dairies. It does contain lactose though, so you might still need to take your lactase enzyme with it.

A2 MILK, FARMER DECISIONS...: A scientific paper by Mr. Woodford with 2 epidemiological graphs of various national per capita consumptions of A1 milk protein showing the quite striking relationships of A1 beta-casein to diabetes type I and to ischaemic heart disease, and also mentioning the Fonterra Corporation's (New Zealand) apparent influence in possible attempted suppression of the science. He concludes in part: "The issue of A2 milk is a real life decision issue of relevance to all dairy farmers throughout the world who farm European breeds of cattle." The following video contains very graphic and distressing scenes. Please forbear watching as your sensitvity dictates.
You may remember if you are old like me, the dairy slogan "Milk from Contented Cows"? Well, how far food production has advanced from those days! Perhaps not coincidentally the cows shown in the video are of an A1 breed, Holsteins which is the favorite cow breed of the industrial milk production apparatus. I have to tell you, I could not bear to watch the whole show.

2nd Video: How Monsanto Killed a Related Story, rBGH Hormones in Your Milk Supply
If I could, I would get rid of the triangle on the lady's nose.
Fortunately it goes away when the video plays.
The type of cow that Monsanto is making huge rBGH profit from, is the Holstein, an A1 milk-producing cow. These cows have been for years promoted to dairy farmers as industrial milk high-producing machines. By the way, Monsanto doesn't want genetically modified foods labeled, so that you won't think about your eating of the weed killer "Roundup". That's another story; see sidebar for that link.

The ongoing agribusiness-government conspiracy to allow synthetics in your organic foods:
"On the Cornucopia Institute's website , you'll find a proxy letter calling for careful scrutiny of all synthetics and organics; a creditable and independent review process; and a diverse NOSB that truly reflects the organic community as Congress intended. Please take a moment to download and sign the proxy letter , and mail it back to the Cornucopia Institute."
